Fentanyl seizure results in charges against three people: Blood Tribe police

Three people are facing multiple drug-related charges after a traffic stop on the Blood Tribe reserve resulted in the seizure of crack and fentanyl.

The Blood Tribe Police Service said officers pulled over a vehicle on the reserve on Wednesday and “enough evidence was present” to arrest the people inside and conduct a search of the vehicle.

A search resulted in the discovery of 22 fentanyl pills, more than four grams of crack cocaine and over $2,000 in cash.

Twenty-one-year-old Isabelle Demitri Dawn Spear Chief of Standoff, 28-year-old Jeanine Joy Blood of Standoff and 33-year-old Ton Hoa Duong of Calgary have been charged with possession of proceeds obtained by a crime under $5,000, possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl.

Duong has been released on the condition he not come on the Blood Reserve.
