PEACHLAND, B.C. – A woman has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after crashing her personal watercraft on Okanagan Lake.
RCMP at the scene say the woman, said to be in her 20’s, was wearing a life-vest and operating a grey and green Sea-Doo in Peachland when the vessel plowed into a wood pier post near the Pentowna Marina.
Police are investigating if the woman was under the influence of alcohol during the accident, which took place around 7 p.m. Friday.
The victim has been transported to Kelowna General Hospital.
RCMP remain at the scene investigating the crash.
