Billboard has released its annual list of the highest-paid musicians of the past year (2015) and Taylor Swift nabbed the top spot.
To calculate the list, the organization calculated an artist’s cumulative sales (including record, streaming, publishing and U.S. tours).
Swift earned a total revenue of $73.5 million in 2015, beating out other artists like Adele and One Direction.

The pop princess gained a majority of her earnings from her extremely successful “1989 World Tour,” which raked in $61.7 million.
Almost every night, her tour featured cameo appearances from stars like The Weeknd, Kobe Bryant, Alanis Morissette and Mick Jagger.

Kenny Chesney came in second with $39.8 million in total revenue for 2015, earning just over half of what Swift did.
Following Chesney in terms of income was The Rolling Stones with $39.6 million, Billy Joel with $31.7 million and One Direction with $24.2 million.
Canadian artists on the list were Shania Twain in 12th place with $14.4 million, Rush in 16th place with $12 million, Céline Dion in 25th place with $9.3 million, The Weeknd in 28th place with $8.6 million and Drake in 32nd place with $7.4 million.
