Students at an elementary school in England had an out-of-this-world experience by getting the chance to send a toy into “space” as a science experiment.
With the help of Sent Into Space – an organization that helps students at local schools dabble into the sciences – children at Morecambe Bay Community Primary School sent “Sam the Dog” soaring into the stratosphere.
The students were learning about space travel.
Strapped with a GoPro, helium balloons and a GPS tracking system, Sam was launched from a hotel and reached a height of 25 km.
