WINNIPEG — If you enjoy watching squirrels run around from tree to tree, it’s obvious most of the rodent’s life is spent searching for food.
Now that the snow is melting and the temperature is warming, many squirrels are coming out of their winter slumber and filling up on nuts and acorns.
Winnipegger, James Panas snapped pictures of one squirrel that couldn’t get enough food – and even fell asleep in the process.
“This squirrel ended up taking a nap after eating peanuts and sunflower seeds for about 30 minutes,” he said.
The images were taken Monday morning in his backyard in Garden City.
