18-year-old man shot at house party in northern Alberta

EDMONTON — An 18-year-old man is recovering at an Edmonton hospital after being shot at a house party in Slave Lake.

Police said officers arrived at house in southwest Slave Lake at around 2:20 a.m. Friday, where they found the man suffering from gunshot wounds to his legs.

He was first taken to the Slave Lake hospital, before being transferred to Edmonton.

His injuries aren’t believed to be life-threatening.

The RCMP Forensic Identification Section and investigators are interviewing witnesses. RCMP Police Dog Services are also helping with the investigation.
