MONTREAL – More than 100 firefighters were called to the scene of an early-morning fire in an apartment building in Côte-des-Neiges.
The fire broke out in the ground floor of the four-story building on Barclay Street at 1:30 a.m. Sunday.
There were no reports of injuries but 30 people were evacuated from their homes. Red Cross was on scene to help take charge of the victims.
A security perimeter was set up leading to several road closures in the area earlier this morning. They have since been reopened.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
