Indigenous women’s advocate looking to run for the NDP
WINNIPEG — Only days after Gord Mackintosh said he won’t run again for the NDP, a prominent Indigenous women’s advocate has stepped forward with intentions to replace him.
Nahanni Fontaine will announce her intention to seek the NDP nomination in the St. Johns constituency Friday morning.
Fontaine has been the special adviser on Aboriginal women’s issues for the province of Manitoba.
