Kelowna neighbourhood warned of cougar sighting

KELOWNA, B.C. – RCMP put out a cougar warning for Kelowna’s Glenmore neighbourhood Friday evening.

“Parents of small children and pet owners are urged to exercise caution in that area for the near term,” said Staff Sgt. John Jordan.

The apparent sighting was at 6 p.m. in the residential area around Bello Road.

When Global News went to view the neighbourhood, people were still walking dogs on the street, unaffected by the news of an apparent big cat seen in the area.
