Justin Bieber is absolutely dominating the global music charts at the moment, and it seems he’s also the undisputed king of Spotify around the world.
Based on the most recent lists of top streaming songs on music network Spotify, Bieber and fellow Canadian musicians Drake, The Weeknd and Shawn Mendes make up the majority of the top 10 artists people are listening to.
Adele, ex-Bieber flame Selena Gomez and Coldplay — along with a few other non-Canadian artists — dot the landscape, but it’s pretty clear that Canadians are in charge of music at the moment. Bieber’s three latest singles, “Sorry,” “Love Yourself” and “What Do You Mean?” appear in the Top 4 (foiled only by Adele’s “Hello”) for each categorization, including the most important one for worldwide numbers.
