WINNIPEG — This time of year it is no surprise to hear Christmas songs while shopping, but shoppers at one Winnipeg store were treated to a more up close musical experience over the weekend.
On Sunday, a flash mob of carolers took over Chapters Polo Festival.
A video posted on the store’s Facebook page starts with one person playing the Hallelujah chorus from Handel’s Messiah on a piano. Then people, who appeared to be shopping, joined in.
Eventually dozens of people gather around the piano singing the festive song.
Since the video was posted on the Facebook page Sunday afternoon, it has been viewed more than 6,900 times.
