KELOWNA, B.C. – Czech native Tomas Soustal took two goals Friday night to help the Kelowna Rockets beat the Edmonton Oil Kings 6-1.
A lacrosse-like scoop of the puck was one of the moves that gave Soustal the top star of the game.
Tyson Baillie, Rodney Southam, Devante Stephens and Tate Coughlin had the other goals on the night.
When Kelowna was up 4-1, Edmonton switched Payton Lee out for Patrick Dea in goal, but it wasn’t enough.
This is the Rockets 16th win of the season, with their record improving to 16-5-1-0.
The Vancouver Giants travel to Kelowna Saturday for the second of the Rocket’s three games at home.
