WINNIPEG — Plenty of sunshine to be found throughout southern Manitoba on Thursday but for many of us that is about to change, especially in the south east.
A Colorado low crossing the international border will bring a fair amount of rain up from the United States beginning early Friday morning.
The weather maker is tracking though Minnesota and North Dakota.
The system is still evolving as it approaches Manitoba but it appears Winnipeg could see at least 10 millimeters or more by the time the system passes by later in the evening.
The bulk of the rain is headed to northwestern Ontario so if a trip in that direction is in your plans, be prepared.
Clouds will stick around for much of Friday, but those in the southwest can expect drier conditions with less cloud cover.
Saturday the sun will return but the weekend will bring overall cooler temperatures.
