CALGARY – Police have identified Christopher Stephen Tooley as the man found dead in a Beltline alley on Sunday.

Emergency crews were called to the 700 block of 12 Avenue S.W. at around 11:15 p.m. on Oct. 11 for reports of a disturbance. When they arrived, paramedics found one man dead at the scene.

On Friday, police confirmed Tooley, 33, was the victim.

Investigators said Tuesday they believed the victim had been involved in an altercation after meeting with someone. He was robbed of his bag by an offender who left on foot.
