Rasberry claimed he was acting in self-defence, and claimed Kelloway attempted to rape him.

The two lived two doors apart in a southeast community and had met as neighhours earlier on the day Kelloway was killed. They’d met for a barbecue and had drinks together.

The trial is expected to continue for at least two weeks.
