UPDATE: Teens charged after stolen truck smashes multiple vehicles in Cathedral

REGINA – Two teenage girls are facing charges after more than a dozen vehicles were damaged in an early-morning hit-and-run in the Cathedral neighbourhood Tuesday morning.

Regina Police were called to the 2000 block of Athol Street at 5:39 a.m. where a stolen truck had crashed into a total of 16 vehicles that were parked on the street.

The 16-year-old driver of the truck and the 15-year-old passenger attempted to flee the scene but were detained by a witness. The 15 year old was taken to hospital with minor injuries and the 16 year old was arrested at the scene.

The 16-year-old has been charged with 16 counts of failing to remain at the scene of an accident, possession of stolen property and impaired driving. The 15-year-old has been charged with possession of stolen property.

Police say that a third suspect, believed to be a man, fled the scene and has not been located.
