CALGARY – The Calgary Flames have agreed to terms on a US$1.65-million, two-year deal with restricted free agent forward Micheal Ferland.

Ferland made his NHL debut last season, putting up two goals and three assists in nine games.

He’ll count $825,000 against the cap when in the NHL.

The 23-year-old also had three goals and two assists in nine playoff games for Calgary, which reached the second round.

Ferland was a fifth-round pick in 2010.

The native of Swan River, Man., previously played in the Western Hockey League for the Brandon Wheat Kings and Saskatoon Blades.

Ferland was the last restricted free agent the Flames needed to sign.
