Best memes of Tom Brady’s ‘awful’ ‘Deflategate’ courtroom sketch

TORONTO – An “awful” courtroom sketch of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has gone viral, turning social media users into social media artists.

Brady was in a New York City courtroom Wednesday, along with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, to appeal a four-game suspension for his involvement in “Deflategate.”

While many on social media were following the hearing, the focus quickly turned to the artwork coming out of the courtroom.

Well-known courtroom sketch artist Jane Rosenberg was forced to apologize after her “awful” and “horrific” rendering of Brady went viral.

“I try to capture somebody’s essence quickly, so it’s not going to be perfect,” Rosenberg explained. “I feel really bad when I do a bad sketch.”

“I apologize for not making him look pretty enough to the world…Tom Brady is a very good looking guy,” Rosenberg added.

Addressing the memes, the artist said: “It is kind of cute and fun, I’m glad people have time to make art.”
