Parolee charged after Asquith, Sask. break and enter

ASQUITH, Sask. – A man out on parole has been arrested after a report of a suspicious person in Saskatchewan town. Warman RCMP said they received a call around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday that a person was seen in an Asquith business.

The man was located by Mounties in a vehicle on Highway 14 just outside of the town. He was identified from the information received from the witness.

Joseph Louis Antel, 40, has been charged with break and enter with intent, possession of break-in instruments and possession of property obtained by crime.

Police say Antel was out on parole at the time for similar offences. His parole has been revoked and he remains in custody.

Further charges may be pending as Warman RCMP and Saskatoon RCMP forensic identification services continue to investigate.
