N.B. man wanted for armed robbery arrested in Prince George, B.C.

CAMPBELLTON, N.B. – A New Brunswick man wanted for armed robbery has been arrested in Prince George, B.C.

Ronald Albert Canuel, 26, of Bathurst, N.B. is charged with robbery with a firearm, wearing a mask in the commission of an offence and failure to comply with a firearm prohibition order.

A Canada-wide warrant was issued for his arrest.

Prince George RCMP arrested Canuel without incident at 4 p.m. on Friday.

The charges stem from a July 10 incident where a man entered the Caisse Populaire Restigouche on Roseberry Street in Campbellton and demanded money from an employee at the bank.

He is in police custody and will be transported back to New Brunswick.
