Two people injured when truck collides with tree in Moose Jaw

MOOSE JAW, Sask. – A man is fighting for his life after the vehicle he was driving struck a tree in Moose Jaw Wednesday night.

At around 8:00 p.m. Moose Jaw police were called to the 700 block of Manitoba Expressway where a pickup truck had collided with a tree.

The truck had been travelling eastbound on the Expressway when the driver lost control, slid across both lanes of traffic and collided with a tree just off the south shoulder of the road.

Both the driver and his lone passenger were taken to hospital in Moose Jaw. The driver’s injuries were determined to be life threatening and he was transferred to hospital in Saskatoon via STARS Air Ambulance.

Alcohol was not a factor in the crash and police continue to investigate.
