Medical issue to blame for fatal vehicle accident: RCMP

HALIFAX – A 76-year old Digby County man is dead after the car he was driving left the road in Kings County, Nova Scotia and plunged into the fast flowing Annapolis River.

The accident happened Sunday evening.

A 69-year old woman who was a passenger in the vehicle was hospitalized with serious injuries.

Local Mounties say their preliminary investigation indicates the driver may have experienced a medical issue prior to the crash.
