Police hunt for driver that seriously injured cyclist

CALGARY – Police are looking to the public for help identifying the driver of a vehicle that hit and seriously injured a cyclist last month.

It happened on Centre Avenue N.E. just east of 19th Street N.E. around 8 a.m. on Monday, March 30th, 2015.

The 50-year-old cyclist was riding eastbound when he was hit from behind by a car.

Police say the driver made no attempts to stop, and continued travelling towards Barlow Trail N.E.

EMS rushed the cyclist to hospital with significant injuries.

Investigators describe the vehicle as a small, medium to dark grey, four-door car with damage to the front passenger side.

The driver is believed to be female.
