After that Kay faces extensive physiotherapy.

Police have released photos of the car believed to be involved in the crash.

It’s dash cam footage from a witness who was driving in the opposite direction.

“There’s absolutely no doubt in my mind the driver of the vehicle we are looking for knew they’ve been involved in some sort of collision,” said Sergeant Colin Foster of the Calgary Police Service Traffic Unit.

In the meantime, Kay is determined to recover and he hopes the driver is found soon.

“It’s just unbelievable that somebody would drive away when someone is hurt so badly,” said Kay.
