HALIFAX – A three-year-old boy was taken to hospital Monday morning after he was hit by a car in a marked crosswalk in Dartmouth.

The boy was crossing Portland Street with a 23-year-old woman just before 8 a.m. when he was hit. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital as a precaution.
The 23-year-old man driving the vehicle was ticketed for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
