‘Udder panic’ as 2 cows flee down highway on way to slaughter house

VANCOUVER – Have you ‘herd’ this one? Vancouver Islanders were given a ‘rare’ treat on Tuesday afternoon when a pair of cows tried to make a run for freedom along the Transcanada Highway.

But some drivers were not ‘amoosed’ when the two bovines caused some traffic back-up near Mackenzie in Saanich.

The two were herded up quickly however, by Westshore RCMP and Saanich Animal Control, and were soon back on their way to the slaughter house.

But the two did cause quite a stir on social media.
