VANCOUVER, B.C. – The frozen food brand, Amy’s Kitchen Inc., has announced it is voluntarily recalling approximately 73,897 cases of product due to a recall notice from one of its organic spinach suppliers.
They have advised that Amy’s may have received organic spinach with the possible presence of Listeria monocytogenes. This can cause serious, and sometimes fatal, infections in young children, frail or elderly people, or those with weakened immune systems.
Those with healthy immune systems may only suffer short-term effects, such as a high fever, severe headache, nausea and diarrhea, but Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths in pregnant women.

Amy’s Kitchen said in a press release it is not aware of any illnesses associated with the recalled products but it is recalling them due to the notice from the supplier.
The products were sold in the U.S. and Canada.
On March 25, the company issued a correction to the codes matching the following products:
