This winter has just been brutal, as far as damage goes. From the Shoppers Drug Mart in Fall River, to the Halifax Curling Club – seems buildings right across the province are feeling the pressure from this winter’s wrath. Insurance brokers we talked to say they have received 10 times more calls than average this season  – on roofs of all shapes and sizes. At 6:45am we’ll get the low-down on what’s covered and what’s not from John Pino of MacLeod Lorway Insurance.

At 7:15am we’ll get a preview of an event baseball fans in the Maritimes will not want to miss called 92 Revisited! It is a 2-night celebration honouring the 1992 Toronto Blue Jays World Series win and it’s coming to Halifax and Bridgewater. The goal of the night is to raise funds for the Canada-Cuba goodwill baseball tour. Dennis Woodworth is the man behind the event and will tell us more about what legendary Blue Jays from ’92 are coming to town!

One of the busiest women in Halifax comes in for a chat at 7:45am.   Myranda Miller of Maritime Travel tells us why Mexico is such a hot destination.  Plus she shares some incredible deals for Cancun and the Mayan Riviera.

At 8:15am we’ll tell you about Zuppa Theatre’s latest production happening this week. The experimental theatre troupe is going back 25,000 years to look at the nature of love in the upcoming ‘Pop-Up Love Party’ that will soon also be showcased in Ontario and the UK.

At 8:45am we’ll talk more about a big honour for a friend of the show! Halifax based Singer-Songwriter Reeny Smith will chat with us about recently winning Artist of the Year at the 2015 African Nova Scotian Music Awards. The gifted musician will be opening for legendary singer Ms.Lisa Fischer at the Rebcca Cohn in April and will play us a tune to wrap up Monday’s show.
