LETHBRIDGE – The Glacier County Sheriff’s office says it’s found the missing body of 75-year-old Fuki Nishibayashi from Lethbridge, Alberta.

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) found the Japanese national’s body at 8 a.m. Tuesday morning in an ice column on Mission Lake.

The cause of death is still under investigation, but foul play is not suspected.

Nishibayashi was one of three fishers who went missing in November 2014. The body of 63-year-old Kazuhiko Hayashizaki was found three days after they went missing; CBP was unable to locate the missing body of 56-year-old Danny Heyland, the last of the trio to fall through the ice.

Teams in and on the lake were suspended a week later as search efforts were compromised due to extreme weather conditions. The Sheriff’s office said the water was dangerous and they were concerned about boats capsizing.
