Okanagan forecast: waves of precipitation moving in

Weather update: Wednesday February 4th 4:45pm

Subtropical moisture is moving in.  With near freezing air in place, some areas will see snow to start Wednesday night, but the snow will change to rain for most areas by Thursday afternoon.

The persistent southwesterly flow will continue to bring mild air in, and freezing levels will be close to 2000m on Friday, and almost all areas below that elevation will see rain by then.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

Some areas will get a brief break on Friday afternoon/evening, and then more showers will move in on Saturday.

We will get another tease of dry weather on Sunday, before a weak system moves in on Monday.

More details coming up at 5, 6:30 and 11pm!

Thursday’s daytime high range: 1 to 6C
