SASKATOON – The Saskatchewan Urban Municipalities Association (SUMA) convention is taking place in Saskatoon until Feb. 4. On Tuesday, leaders from municipal communities will present resolutions in hopes of gathering the boards’ support.
The City of North Battleford plan to bring a resolution forward that would see the association’s members join the call for an inquiry or roundtable on missing and murdered aboriginal women.
Prince Albert’s mayor Greg Dionne has been vocal about his city’s need for a second bridge, while SUMA President Debra Button is focusing on the need for revenue sharing from the provincial government.

Resolutions will be presented Tuesday afternoon and voted on by the end of the day.
