At 6:45am we’ll tell you about a weekend event that is sure to change the way you look at food. “Fifty Shades of Grain” promises to be an evening of health empowerment, featuring several key discussions about the politics of food.

At 7:15am we welcome two members of the Community Society to end Poverty in Nova Scotia. Member of Parliament Megan Leslie and Social Worker Paul O’Hara will drop by to give us an update on some of the group’s work. The society will be hosting a round table discussion Friday afternoon and we’ll get a preview.

Friday marks 20 days until the 2015 Canada Winter Games in Prince George BC and this year Team Nova Scotia is as strong as ever! At 7:45am we’ll welcome back to the show,  Team NS Chef de Mission for this year’s games, Mark Smith, to talk about the lead up to the event and learn more about how you can cheer on Team Nova Scotia this weekend!
