Crews fight house fire in Ellison

KELOWNA – For the fifth time in six days a fire has broke out in an Okanagan home.

Crews fought a fully engulfed house fire on Twin Creek Place in Ellison that broke out just before 11:30 a.m. Officials say no one was injured in the fire and the family that resides in the home was not inside, as the house is currently under renovation. The cause is still under investigation, but early indications don’t point to it being suspicious.

Witnesses report heavy black smoke could be seen from Highway 97 near the Kelowna International Airport.
