CALGARY- Police are investigating after a man was stabbed at a southwest house party on New Year’s Day.

It happened at 3:40 a.m. on Thursday morning in the 2700 block of 17^th Ave. SW.

Police say a man was stabbed in the back of the head and was transported to hospital, where he is now in stable condition.

The suspect surrendered at the scene.
