Hundreds of Winnipeggers lined the second floor of Polo Park Mall Friday morning to snag that perfect pair of Athletic wear.
Doors opened at the Winnipeg Mall at 7 A.M, within 15 minutes, the line up for Lululemon had looped around the entire second story of the mall and out the door.
“It’s a tradition, we have been coming here for 6 years now,” one lady said Friday morning.
At FutureShop, dozens waited through the snow and wind early this morning for that perfect item. Brothers John and James Dyck waited since midnight for FutureShop’s doors to open at 6. And when Global News caught up with them inside the store, every item on their wishlist was in hand and purchased.
“It was a success. You will see me back in these lines next year,” John Dyck said.
The first couple in line at FutureShop had been waiting outside since 10 Thursday night. “Its worth it,” they told Global News.
FutureShop management say this Boxing Day was busier than Black Friday and also busier than last year’s Boxing Day crowd.
