TORONTO – Hold on to your luggage, keep your emotions in check and be prepared for lengthy wait times.

According to the Greater Toronto Airport Authority, nearly two million passengers will move through Pearson during the three weeks surrounding Christmas.

To make the holiday travel a little bit cheerier, the airport has set up carollers and even Mrs. Claus and Santa will be making appearances.

Train and bus service is also expected to at times reach capacity limits.

According to Via Rail, more than 274,000 passengers used their service last year for holiday travel between Dec. 18 and Jan. 7, an increase of 9.5 per cent from the previous year.
