MONTREAL – Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for the Châteauguay/La Prairie area, Laval area, Longueuil/Varennes area and Montréal Island area.

“Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions,” warns Environment Canada.
The following schools of the Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board are closed because of the inclement weather:
- Rawdon Elementary School
- Joliette Elementary School
- Joliette High School
All schools of the Commission Scolaires des Samares are also closed.
