TORONTO – The Competition Bureau is investigating allegations that Apple uses anti-competitive clauses in its contracts with Canadian wireless carriers.
The contracts relate to the supply of iPhones.
Spokesman Greg Scott says the bureau sought a court order earlier this week to compel Apple Canada Inc. to hand over records relating to the investigation.

The bureau recently launched a similar investigation into allegations of anti-competitive practices at Loblaw Cos. Ltd.
That probe is supposed to examine whether the grocer used “restrictive trade practices” in its dealings with its suppliers.
The bureau says it has not yet concluded whether or not there has been any wrongdoing on Apple’s part.
