At 7:15 we take a journey with a Christmas tree. We’ll follow a family from picking out their tree, to bringing it home and decorating it. We’ll Also ask tree experts what to look for and how to care for your tree so it lasts throughout the holiday season.

At 7:45 we’ll talk with RCMP Sgt. Craig Smith about his book “You Had Better be White by Six a.m”. He’s been a member of the RCMP since 1997 and works as Diversity Policing Analyst for Nova Scotia. In 2006, he wrote & self-published You Had Better Be White By Six AM – The African Canadian Experience in the RCMP and now he’s published a second edition of the book which includes more insight into how the force is handling race relations across the country.

At 8:15 we’ll learn more about an event designed to challenge your limits and our best athletes. The FANfit challenge is a unique 5 stage fitness event that will connect you with elite athletes on their journey to victory.  The event is a combination of fitness and fundraising and is the first of its kind in the country. FANfit comes to Canada Games Centre in January but we get a preview of it tomorrow.

And at 8:45 we welcome back friend of the show Gillian Wesley aka The Local Traveler. Her annual Local WIshlist has quickly become one of the most anticipated events on the holiday calendar and this year is no different. The 3rd annual buy-local shopping guide to Nova Scotia is full of gift ideas for all ages and Gillian will join us at the red table for a rundown of some of her favourites.
