Kelowna advance polls busy – free transit on election day

KELOWNA – Thousands of Kelowna residents have been taking advantage of advance polling opportunities in the municipal election.

At the end of Thursday, three days of pre-election day voting saw 5,047 ballots cast.

Friday is the last day of advance voting at City Hall and the Parkinson Recreation Centre.

And to help ensure everyone has an opportunity to vote in the municipal elections, free public transit will be offered in some Okanagan cities Saturday.

Bus service will operate at no charge throughout the day in Kelowna, West Kelowna, Peachland, Lake Country and Penticton.
