MONTREAL — Three years ago, a former student at Sir Wilfrid Laurier Junior High School came forward with allegations of sexual assault.
An investigation was launched, and 72-old former math teacher Bruno Santaguida was arrested in 2012. He was accused of sexually assaulting at least one student under the age of 14 between 1981 and 1983.
He pleaded guilty to indecent assault and sexual assault this week.
Police have reason to believe that there may be further victims, and are asking anyone with information to come forward and file a report.
Sir Wilfrid Laurier Junior High School, on Gariepy Ave. in Montreal North, is no longer open.
Santaguida taught at the school from 1975 to 1983. During that time, he wore glasses, had medium-length brown hair and a moustache, and was a smoker.
