Downtown Vancouver landmarks were lit up in purple last night in support of World Mental Health Day.

Purple is in recognition of the Amanda Todd legacy project.

The Port Coquitlam teenager was the victim of online bullying and took her own life two years ago.

The legacy project promotes anti-bullying and mental health awareness.

The campaign was started last year by her mother Carol Todd and began with turning the waters of Niagara Falls purple.

BC Place, Science World and Jack Poole Plaza all participated in the second annual “Light Up The World Purple” campaign.

Landmarks in Ottawa, Toronto, Calgary and London also participated.
