Regina woman charged after hit and run on Tuesday

REGINA – A 25 year-old woman is facing charges after a hit and run in Regina on Tuesday afternoon.

Police were called to Dewdney Avenue and Angus Street where it is alleged a vehicle ran a stop sign and broadsided a vehicle before fleeing the scene.

The victim in the vehicle that was hit was a 57 year-old female who had to be taken to hospital with injuries described as non-life threatening.

The van was found a short time later and the driver was arrested and charged.

Twenty-five year-old Kerry Lynn Lonechild of Regina is charged with Fail To Stop At The Scene of An Accident Involving Bodily Harm.

Lonechild is scheduled to make her first court appearance on November 18th.
