MONTREAL — A man, reportedly vomiting on a plane from West Africa over the weekend, has tested negative for Ebola.
The man became sick on a flight from Guinea and was taken to Notre-Dame Hospital at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. He was placed in isolation pending the results of tests for the deadly disease.

The hospital has an intensive-care unit created to specifically deal with the deadly and highly contagious disease.
It is one of two Montreal hospitals that have been set up to deal with suspected Ebola cases. Children suspected of carrying the disease will be treated at the Sainte-Justine Hospital.
It typically takes between 12 and 24 hours to obtain lab test results, which in this case were conducted at the National Microbiology Laboratory in Winnipeg.
This was the third suspected case of Ebola in Quebec. In the previous cases in Montreal and Gatineau, the patients both tested negative for the deadly virus.
