EDMONTON – An Apple commercial that was filmed in Edmonton last year has picked up a 2014 Creative Arts Emmy Award for Outstanding Commercial.
While Apple has never confirmed the commercial was shot in Edmonton, it showcases a number of local landmarks including a well-known home on Ada Boulevard and the Cloverdale skating rink.
The holiday commercial, which is set on a snowy winter’s day, is titled ‘Misunderstood.’ It features a teen who is seemingly unaware of his surroundings while spending the holidays with his family.
In the end, the boy was using his iPhone to video all of his family’s activities, which he reveals to his family on Christmas morning.
