WINNIPEG – A young Gimli woman is dead after the car she was driving hit a ditch in the Manitoba Interlake community, RCMP say.
The 18-year-old was ejected from her vehicle when it went into the ditch along Highway 231 and rolled just after midnight Sunday, RCMP said in a news release.
Police don’t consider speed and alcohol factors in collision. They haven’t confirmed whether she was wearing a seatbelt.
RCMP aren’t releasing the teen’s name.
The investigation continues with the help of an RCMP forensic collision reconstructionist.
