KELOWNA, B.C. – The B.C. Coroners has released the names of the three people who lost their lives in a devastating car accident July 15th north of Kelowna.
Harold Rienhardt Miller, 82, from Vernon, was driving a burgundy Chevy Malibu north on Highway 97 near Duck Lake when the vehicle crossed the center line.
It struck a southbound vehicle and then a five ton truck. The impact left the front of the car embedded in the grill of the larger truck.
Miller’s wife, Violet Juline Miller, 79, was in the passenger rear seat. Their great-grandson was in the front passenger seat. He’s been identified as 14-year-old Thomas Rhys Edward Davies from Victoria.
The B.C. Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate.
