TORONTO — Robert Pattinson’s Maps to the Stars and Kristen Stewart’s Still Alice will be among the movies screening at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
Both films also star TIFF veteran Julianne Moore.
Organizers unveiled the first batch of films on Tuesday for the star-studded festival, which runs Sept. 4 to 14.
Maps to the Stars was made in Toronto and directed by homegrown filmmaker David Cronenberg. It will have a gala presentation at TIFF.
Stewart stars in the drama Still Alice with Alec Baldwin and Kate Bosworth.
TIFF’s closing night gala will be A Little Chaos, directed by and starring Alan Rickman and co-starring Kate Winslet and Stanley Tucci.
Jennifer Aniston stars in Cake, which will be a Special Presentation at TIFF.
Montreal is well represented with Jean-Marc Vallée’s Wild starring Reese Witherspoon; Shawn Levy’s This is Where I Leave You starring Jason Bateman and Tina Fey; and Jason Reitman’s Men, Women & Children starring Adam Sandler and Jennifer Garner. Made-in-Montreal chess drama Pawn Sacrifice, starring Tobey Maguire, will have a gala presentation.
Witherspoon also stars in the TIFF selection The Good Lie, directed by Gatineau, Quebec’s Philippe Falardeau.
Gala presentations include Mike Binder’s Black and White starring Kevin Costner; Antoine Fuqua’s The Equalizer with Denzel Washington and Chloe Grace Moretz; and Bennett Miller’s Foxcatcher starring Channing Tatum.
The TIFF red carpets will also welcome Nightcrawler starring Jake Gyllenhaal; The Keeping Room with Hailee Steinfeld and Sam Worthington; Miss Julie starring Colin Farrell and Jessica Chastain; and While We’re Young with Ben Stiller and Naomi Watts.

Chris Evans’ directorial debut Before We Go will be screened at the festival, as well as The Last Five Years with Anna Kendrick and The Humbling starring Al Pacino.
Pacino also stars in Manglehorn, which will be screened at TIFF.
The Brian Wilson biopic Love & Mercy, starring John Cusack and Paul Dano, is on the TIFF list as well as The Drop starring Tom Hardy and My Old Lady with Maggie Smith and Kevin Kline.
