The man charged in connection with the deadly Nanaimo sawmill shooting will be back in court today.

47-year-old Kevin Douglas Addison is charged with two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted murder for the April 30 shooting. Two men died and two more men were seriously injured.

He is accused of opening fire at his former workplace, the Western Forest Products mill.

Addison appeared in Nanaimo provincial court last month, via video link from the Vancouver Island Regional Correctional Centre in Victoria.

The case was adjourned until today in order to give police time to gather more information.
