HALIFAX – RCMP say a school bus carrying 17 high school students has hit a utility pole but there were no serious injuries.

Police say the bus was travelling on Lockview Road in Fall River Monday when it went into a ditch, struck the pole and ended up back on the road.

RCMP Cpl. Scott MacRae says paramedics examined the students at the scene and determined no one was seriously hurt.

MacRae says he’s unaware of anyone being taken to hospital.

The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
